
Nobuo Mochizuki Born in Shizuoka in 1949. After working at
the computer company, he became a national public official. He
worked at the library in Shizuoka University for a long time doing
the management of computer system. In 1968 Mochizuki organized
the Animation study circle "Shanimu" with Mr. Tomono
and has had many screenings. In the circle he studies American
cartoon films, especially the works of Tex Avery, and published
"The Animation Films of the World" with Mr. Tomono.
He writes for the magazine about movies, "Kinema Jumpo".
He also has the Web page about animation in Internet which has
the illustration Mr. Avery gave him. He moved to Kagoshima away
from his family to work in the University library there on Apr.
1996. Besides animation, he likes watching movies, cheering the
baseball team "Giants", and listening to classical music.
He has a son and a daughter.
