Takashi Tomono Born in Shizuoka, in 1944. He majored photography
in Chiba University. He graduated there and entered the Shizuoka
newspaper office in 1966. He succeeded his father's company "Tomono
Camera Service" after leaving the office in 1976. In 1968
Tomono organized the Animation study circle "Shanimu"
with Mr. Mochizuki. They have held a lot of screenings. In the
circle he studies mostly puppet and experimental animation. He
published "The Animation Films of the World" with Mr.
Mochizuki. Besides animation, he likes skiing and watching movies.
He has a son and a daughter.
