About ANIDO

What’s ANIDO?

ANIDO is a group established by the professional animators in 1967, including who worked at Toei Animation Studio, Mushi Production, Tokyo Movie(TMS Entertainment Ltd.), Studio Zero, TCJ (Eiken Co.,Ltd.), and A production (Shin-ei Animation Co.,Ltd.), etc. Their first purpose was to do useful research and interchange for the creation of professional animators. Now we have been tried to research and interchange information about the animated cartoon films from all over the world, not only for the professionals, but also animation students and fans.

ANIDO has organized many kinds of screenings and workshops over 400 times. Our activity is getting more various, such as publishing books about animation, collecting 16mm films and the materials for any category of animation, and distributing new animation films in the world.

Join our activities if you are interested in animation!

We are welcome your opinion by e-mail anytime.

Takashi Namiki, The Chairman of ANIDO

What’s ANIDO FILM?

We have ANIDO FILM Ltd. in (a group) ANIDO. When we began to publish a book specialized animation, we needed much more amounts of money than before printing a magazine for the group. Therefore, we organized “ANIDO FILM” in 1984, whose main business was publishing. (At first, the name of the company had been “PULP” and it changed later.)

Since then, we have promoted such a lot of projects as needed a large amount of cost including distribution and producing short animation films, although we have not had to forget it was business, not volunteer.

In the future, ANIDO FILM tries to be a foundation, and is going to promote lasting projects with ANIDO.
